Our long-term planning has been informed by the PSHE Association's guidelines which has been adapted to suit our curriculum; each topic within our planning has a question focus.
Please note that the summer term is subject to change as we will introduce the Christopher Winter Project which is the PSHE Association's approved programme for Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in Luton.
Values-based Education (VbE)
Alongside our PSHE curriculum are our values, which we implement and refer to on a daily basis. We feel that by doing this, it promotes a way of being that values the self, others and the environment. This is turn will help with developing self-awareness, mutual respect, communication skills and a solid moral compass.
We have 4 overarching Values that we focus on over the course of the year - the 4Rs- Respect, Relationships, Responsibility and Resilience. When we learn about these values, we will also look at the importance of:
