Every child in school is expected to use each of the Doodle apps listed for their year group at least 3 times each week.
- Squirrels - DoodleMaths
- Year 1 - DoodleMaths & DoodleSpell
- Year 2 - DoodleMaths & DoodleSpell plus DoodleTables from Spring Term onwards (once children begin their Multiplication and Division topic).
- Years 3-6 - DoodleMaths, DoodleTables (some exceptions) & DoodleSpell
DoodleEnglish is available to all children, though there is no set expectation of how it should be used. It may occasionally be used in class to support a particular area of work.
The key to being a successful Doodler is to apply a 'little and often' approach. 5-10 minutes on each app is sufficient. Though we set 3 times a week as a minimum, the children who Doodle every day definitely make the best progress.
Every child will be able to access Doodle once a week within class time. If your child is unable to access the internet at home, please make their class teacher aware so we make provision for them to complete their 3 sessions per week in school.
